How to register a new Universal Fan Coil thermostat

To control your thermostat remotely with your mobile device, you must download the Unilux HVAC thermostat mobile app and register your thermostat to an account. You can download the app on iOS and Android here:

After downloading the app, follow these steps to register your account and connect your thermostat:

Make sure your mobile device is connected to your Wi-Fi network.
Activate pairing mode on your thermostat
1. Enter the advanced settings menu on your thermostat by pressing and holding the [select] and [menu] buttons until “P21” appears on your screen.
  *NOTE: It is possible your Universal thermostat is already in pairing mode out of the factory. If this is the case, you will not see “P21” appear on your screen and you can continue to step 3.
2. Use the [▲] / [▼] buttons to cycle through options until the screen says “PAR APP”. Press the [select] button to enter pairing mode and return to the home screen.

3. Find and record thermostat Device ID

Enter the advanced settings menu on your thermostat by pressing and holding the [menu] button.
The menu will open to “P0”. Repeatedly press the [menu] button until reaching “ADR”. This page will displace a five-digit alphanumeric code, which is your thermostat Device ID. Record this number.
Press the [select] button to return to the thermostat home screen.

4. Connect your thermostat to your Wi-Fi

1. On your mobile device, open the Unilux HVAC thermostat app.
2. From the home page, select “Create new account”.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to register an email address and password.
4. After successful account creation and sign-in, tap the + button at the top right of your screen to add a new thermostat.
5. You will be asked to enter three text fields:

Your Wi-Fi network name
Your Wi-Fi password
Your thermostat Device ID recorded in step 3

f. Click “Connect” and wait for a popup verifying that your thermostat is now connected to your Unilux HVAC Thermostat account.

How to create a new Unilux HVAC account for an existing thermostat

Follow these steps if you need to connect your thermostat to a new Wi-Fi network or are a new resident trying to override a previous owner’s account registration to your thermostat. Before starting, you must download the Unilux HVAC Thermostat app to remotely control your thermostat from your mobile device.

Disconnect your thermostat from its Wi-Fi connection.
1. Simultaneously hold the [menu] and [select] buttons on your thermostat until “P19” appears on the screen.
2. Use the [▲] / [▼] buttons to toggle to the “YES” option.
3. Press the [select] button to save. Note: You will stay on this settings page instead of returning to the home screen.
4. Hold the [menu] button until “P20” appears on your screen.
5. Use the [▲] / [▼] buttons to toggle to the “YES” option.
6. Press the [select] button to save. You will now return to the home screen.

Click “Connect” and wait for a popup verifying that your thermostat is now connected to your Unilux HVAC Thermostat account.

How to connect multiple thermostats to one Unilux HVAC account

If your suite has more than one thermostat, you can add additional devices by repeating the same steps outlined above under “How to register a new Universal Fan Coil thermostat”. After registering all thermostats, you will be able to view all devices at a glance from the app home screen, or select a device to individually control.
